Emily & JK | West Tower
21st April 2016
Ahh Emily & JK, what a lovely couple - it was such a pleasure to document this wedding, not only because of this gorgeous couple, but because I got to go back up North to my homeland for the weekend!
The atmosphere on the wedding morning, from both the boys and the girls, was a mixture of excitement and fluttering nerves, and once we got into the swing of the ceremony, the emotions kept on coming with plenty of laughter and quite a few tears. They had some fantastic readings, one read by Emily's niece and nephew who were beyond adorable, and I've never heard such a cheer as when these two newlyweds shared their first kiss.
Taking place in February in Lancashire, you could have predicted that the weather forecast wouldn't be the greatest, but the rain held off and we managed to take the group and couple shots outdoors in some lovely crisp fresh air, before moving into the cosy bar area at West Tower for the drinks reception.
The ceremony room had been transformed into an absolutely breathtaking white woodland, with woodland animal table names, fantastic favours (thank you so much for my fox-socks!) and very pretty rustic details. Everybody tucked into a lovely meal, me included, before the brilliant speeches began and the happy couple joyfully cut the cake to lead us into the evening reception.
I left after the first dance as the party was in full swing and everybody seemed to be having a great time - I heard the following day that people barely left the dance floor!
What a brilliant day and a great party, huge congratulations to the lovely Mr and Mrs Hand x
