Helen & Steve

31st May 2013
Helen and Steve had been engaged for a long time, so what a privilege to be involved in their long-awaited wedding day!
Before the big day we met at their venue, The Angel Inn in Hetton, to have a drink and to discuss their wishes for their wedding photography; relaxed and natural with lots of candid shots of the guests and some more formal shots of them with their two boys. Perfect!
Hidden away in the Yorkshire Dales, the day took place in one of the most gorgeously rural locations I've been to for a wedding. After some shots of the guests, the groomsmen and the arrival of the beautiful bride, the ceremony in the Angel Inn's candlelit Wine Cave was intimate and romantic and the breathtaking backdrop was perfect for some formal shots of the happy couple before they went to sit down for their meal.
After the wedding breakfast and some funny as well as very moving speeches, everybody headed to Sutton Village Hall for the evening do. With some great food laid out by the couple's very own very capable catering team (Helen and Steve run the Tea Cottage at Bolton Abbey, which is incredibly cute and, dare I say it, in an even nicer location!) it was a great occasion and I left them to their celebrations after their first dance. Congratulations to you both - here's to many more years of happiness!
