Jess & Chris | Hookhouse Farm

05th February 2015

I'm very grateful that this post was mentioned by Danny Pike on BBC Radio Sussex & Surrey! Click here to hear the Clip.

I knew this would be a fantastic wedding after my first meet with Jess over a cup of tea. Considering they had only 2 months to plan this wedding, time wasn't in their favour so Jess' head was totally in gear and she was full of ideas! I wasn't wrong - this wedding really was fantastic and a real joy to be a part of.

I met Jess, her mum, her daughter Maddie and her lovely bridesmaids on the morning of their wedding day, at Jess and Chris' house. It was a lovely atmosphere, lots of beautiful faces and dresses for me to photograph and the sunflower bouquets set the scene for what was to be a very happy day.

I then made my way to the church to meet Chris and his groomsmen, who looked very dapper in their navy suits and wool ties, for a few shots before the guests started to arrive - and weren't they a good-looking and well-dressed bunch of guests! Fashionably 10 mins late, Jess arrived looking absolutely stunning, walking down the aisle followed by the cutest bunch of flower girls and page boys I'd ever seen! The ceremony was really lovely, with a beautiful performance of Ave Maria by Alice Rose, as the register was signed.

The happy couple revved the engine in their classic MG as they made their way to the Hookhouse Farm and on arrival I popped into the barn. I had been a few days earlier to have a look around and thought it was gorgeous then, but wow, it was absolutely breathtakingly beautifully decorated thanks to lots of hard work from Jess, Chris and friends the day before. They really had thought of everything! After some group shots and couple portraits (I couldn't believe my luck that there was a sunflower field in full bloom!), everybody took to their places to enjoy the gorgeous hog roast.

After the speeches, Jess, Chris, their gorgeous daughter Maddie and I went out to catch the last of the fading sunlight for a few family shots, before the evening fun kicked off with the cutting of their cupcakes and the first dance, followed by the truly fantastic Juke Box Jets rock band!

A really wonderful day, I loved every minute of it. Thank you both for asking me to be a part of it x
