- How far will you travel to shoot a wedding?
Although based in East Sussex I love to see the country so am more than willing to travel around the UK (or even further). Depending on your wedding schedule and the distance I'd have to travel, this may incur additional time, travel and/or accommodation costs. Each is taken on a case by case basis so please ask and let's see if we can work something out.
- Do you take family/friend group shots? And some more formal shots of the Bride and Groom?
Yes I do. Although my style of photography is relaxed, I do take time to shoot family and friend group shots. I ask for the names of those you would like in your group shots before your wedding day, to help ensure the shots run smoothly and to to keep any standing around to a minimum. As is my style, the 'formal' shots of the Bride and Groom are not too formal at all! With relaxed expressions and poses, your natural happiness can shine through.
- How much time will the group and formal couple shots take on the day?
I have no rules on the number of group shots you should have but to give you an idea, a shot list of 10 large groups can take up to 30 minutes. For the slightly more formal shots of the Bride and Groom I recommend approximately 20 minutes, but am willing to carry on for longer or cut it short if that is what you would prefer.
- Do you offer Pre-Wedding/Engagement Shoots?
Yes I do offer Pre-Wedding Shoots. They last approximately 2 hours and can take place in a location and at a time of your choice, be it a summer's day on the beach, an autumnal woodland shoot or Christmas at your wedding venue. As well as an opportunity to capture some lovely photographs, I will give you some tips on how to stand, how to smile, what to do with your hands etc.. Overall the shoots are a fantastic opportunity for you to get used to being photographed and to give you an understanding of what to expect from me on your big day. The Pre-Wedding Shoot is an additional £150, which includes the images as high resolution files on a disc. You also then have the option to purchase a signing frame, save the date cards, prints or anything else you can think of - there are so many options with your Pre-Wedding photographs!
- How long after our wedding will we have to wait before receiving our images?
After your wedding it will take approximately 4-6 weeks before you receive your images.
- How many images will we receive?
This depends on the length of time you'd like me to take photographs for! For photography from Bridal Preparations to the First Dance you can expect approximately 400-500 edited images.
- Are the images in colour or black and white?
I edit all images individually, to bring out their best qualities. As you will see in my Wedding Portfolio, some suit colour and some black and white. If they look good in both, you will get both!
- Can we print the images ourselves?
Yes you can - I provide you with watermark-free images as high resolution JPEG files on a disc, with a license allowing you to print images for your personal use. If you'd prefer a higher quality print result than from the average high-street printer, I do offer a printing service with the option to include mounts and/or frames.
- Do you offer albums?
Absolutely. Although you will receive all of your images on a DVD, I think Wedding Albums are extremely important; they are family heirlooms to be enjoyed for years and by generations to come. I also offer smaller scale duplicates for parents. Photographs can look so much better in print form - in my opinion a beautiful album is far superior to a screen! However, I understand that not everybody agrees or can afford an album straight away, so I offer albums as an optional extra. There are many options for sizes and finishes so please get in touch for more information.
- Can we put our wedding images on Facebook/Social Media?
Yes - please do! As well as the high resolution files which are suitable for printing, I provide you with low resolution files which are far more suitable for on-screen viewing and which you are able to upload onto the internet. These contain a small watermark in a corner to confirm they are protected by copyright law - to help protect both of us!
- Can our friends and family order prints?
Yes they can. All you have to do is provide them with the password for your private gallery in the Client Area on my website and they can view the images and purchase prints or JPEG files directly from there.
- So to sum it all up, what do we get?
A personal, reliable, professional, one-on-one service, right from the word go.
